UPDATE ON EMRGENCY SITUATION SURCHARGE (COVID-19)
Nicosia, 31 March 2020
A key principle of ACS, based on its strategic principles of sustainable development, is the provision of high-quality services, as well as any investment aimed at evolving its operation and responding optimally to the challenges of our times.
Despite the challenges we have been facing due to the global threat of COVID-19, our company continues to fully operate on the basis of its business continuity plan, in order to ensure reliable customer service, while at the same time being called upon to adapt its self to this extraordinary circumstances, taking all necessary measures to ensure its smooth operation and the safety of its personnel, which is always our top priority.
Due to the dramatic impact of the COVID-19 virus on the courier industry in general, ACS is called upon to undertake a number of actions regarding significant operational changes (in terms of routes, additional distribution processes, renting additional vehicles, recruiting staff, working on public holidays, taking health safety measures, etc.), which have an immediate impact on increasing all operating costs of the company.
In order to ensure its uninterrupted business operation and continue to serve the public interest with high quality services, the company is required to allocate only a small portion of this operating cost increase to its Customers. As a result, ACS is provisionally applying, with effect from 1 April 2020 and until further notice the COVID-19 Emergency Situation Surcharge of 0,30€+VAT per shipment, regarding all domestic shipments.
ACS, always prioritizing its market needs with the provision of integrated services, undertakes most of this increase in operating costs, limiting to the lowest possible level the surcharge on its Customers, and continues to strive for the smooth handling of all shipments, based on its commitment for high quality, speed and reliability.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and trust. We remain at your disposal, should you need any further clarifications
